Experts in Healthcare Employment Solutions
At HealthForce NZ, we specialise in recruitment and HR support tailored to primary healthcare. Whether you're a practice in need of skilled professionals or a health worker seeking your next role, we're here to help.
Who We Are
We're a dedicated recruitment and workforce support service, created specifically for the unique needs of New Zealand’s primary care sector. Our experienced consultants work across both clinical and non-clinical roles — permanent or locum, onsite or virtual — providing smart solutions for workforce gaps.
We hold one of the largest networks of primary, mental, and allied health professionals in the country and lead innovative workforce development initiatives, including bespoke programmes for GPEPs, NZREX graduates, Practice Nurses, and Primary Mental Health.
All this is backed by our trusted HR support line, offering expert advice on employment issues big and small.
Our Story
We began in 2017 as Employment Plus, a not-for-profit response to the growing workforce shortage in general practice. Created by and for the ProCare cooperative network, our goal was to offer a smarter, lower-cost alternative to traditional recruiters.
Word spread quickly. We earned a reputation for placing candidates who stayed long term, and for our honest, transparent approach. When COVID hit, we rapidly scaled to support frontline services, staffing MIQs and CBACs nationwide.
Today, as HealthForce NZ, we’ve grown into a nationwide service provider placing thousands of hours of clinical work and leading game-changing development programmes across the country.
“Their professionalism and competitive pricing make them a valuable solution for our practice. We highly recommend their service.” Cornwall Medical Centre
